European Mobility Week 2026

Trento, 16–22 September — “Switch and go!”

From 16 to 22 September, Trento is taking part in European Mobility Week, the campaign promoted by the European Commission since 2002 to encourage more sustainable forms of urban transport and improve the quality of life in cities.
The theme for the 2026 edition is ‘Mobility for Everyone’: mobility that is accessible to all, regardless of age, income, place of residence or mobility. At its heart is intergenerational equity – the idea that transport systems must meet the needs of children, young people, adults and older people, both today and for future generations.
The Trentino programme translates this theme into seven events taking place across the city, ranging from the ‘piedibus’ to schools to the Saturday group cycle ride, from road safety workshops to urban walks. All events are free and open to anyone wishing to experience a different way of getting around the city.
The programme is organised by the Municipality of Trento in collaboration with APT Trento, Trentino Trasporti, the Trento Monte Bondone Local Police, the University of Trento, ASUIT, FIAB, UISP, NetTARE and local schools.
