An immersion in the aquatic world, between science, biodiversity and different cultures. On Saturday 26 September, from 2 pm to 7 pm, the MUSE – Science Museum of Trento proposes "A submerged world", the new MUSE Party event dedicated to aquatic environments. Among laboratories, visits, scientific corners and shows, the public can also meet muse researchers, explore the biodiversity that lives below the surface of the water and discover the balances that link organisms, ecosystems and human activities. Among the proposals, there are also "13 cultures. 13 stories", an activity that involves 13 international associations to share stories, traditions and meanings related to water.
From fresh water to the oceans, water will be the guiding thread of a path that crosses the museum halls, laboratories and outdoor spaces, up to the biotope and the gardens of the museum. Between microscopes, fossils and finds, aquatic plants and mollusks, the event invites you to explore the adaptations to life underwater and learn about the biodiversity and history of aquatic environments through the scientific research of the museum. Researchers will be available to the public to share studies, curiosities and results: from archaeozoology, which allows us to reconstruct the fish fauna of Trentino from 10,000 years ago to the present, to freshwater biodiversity, with insights into macroinvertebrates, plankton and aquatic plants.
