The exhibition tells the story of the summer of 1946, a decisive moment for Italy's reconstruction, through the words and images related to the activity of Alcide De Gasperi.
A period of great changes: from the vote for women to the institutional referendum and the birth of the Republic, from the Paris Peace Conference to the September 1946 agreement that laid the foundations for the protection of the German minority of South Tyrol and for regional autonomy.
Through photographs and documents, the exhibition reflects the climate of uncertainty, courage and hope of those months, when Italy was called upon to rebuild itself and choose its own future.
