October 3, 2026 / 6.00 - 9.00 pm

On Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 6:00 pm, at the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento, the concert of the Schiavo Marchegiani Piano Duo will be held, as part of the exhibition "In the lands of the Nile". The event, entitled "Travel, memory and civilization: European music in the era of the rediscovery of Egypt", proposes a dialogue between music and archaeology, accompanying the public through the cultural suggestions of Europe between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

The program, performed entirely by four hands, includes works by Rossini, Mozart, Brahms and Dvořák, authors belonging to an era characterized by great journeys, archaeological explorations and the birth of modern Egyptology. The repertoire ranges from Rossini's famous overtures to Mozart's Sonata K. 358, to Brahms' Hungarian Dances and Dvořák's Slave Dances.
