Keep your eyes peeled and tread lightly as the cool undergrowth hides many delicious mushrooms. Porcini, chanterelles, hen-of-the-woods, honey mushrooms and many other varieties can be found in our region. Remember to bring a basket and to ask for permission!

Children under the age of 10 may pick mushrooms if accompanied by a parent or guardian, subject to the maximum limit allowed per person.
Provincial Law No. 11 of 23 May 2007 and the subsequent Provincial Decree No. 23–25 of 26 October 2009 establish that in the province of Trento, the gathering of wild mushrooms, both edible and inedible, is permitted in quantities not exceeding two kilograms per day per person over the age of ten.
Collectors are required to clean the mushrooms briefly at the collection site and to transport them only in rigid, perforated containers.
It is forbidden to damage or destroy mushrooms on the ground and to use rakes, hooks or other tools that could damage the humus layer of the soil during collection.
It is forbidden to pick mushrooms between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
For non-residents in a municipality of the Province of Trento it is mandatory to purchase a mushroom picking permit, declaring the start of the activity and paying a fee commensurate with the duration of the picking period. The following are exempt from paying for the permit: residents and those born in municipalities in the Autonomous Province of Trento; citizens registered with the AIRE (Registry of Italians Resident Abroad) of a municipality in the Province; owners or possessors of woods located within the provincial territory; individuals who enjoy a right of civic use.
