Monday in Trento: art, views and relaxation in the city.

1] Visit to the Diocesan Museum and the Cathedral

A visit to the Tridentine Diocesan Museum and Cathedral of San Vigilio is a journey into the spiritual and artistic heart of Trento.

The museum houses precious works of sacred art, tapestries and artefacts related to the Council of Trent (1545–1563), offering an insight into the city’s religious history. Next to it, the cathedral overlooks Piazza Duomo, with its Romanesque architecture and symbolic role in the history of Trentino.

St Peter’s Church, with its Neo-Gothic style, is a striking presence in the historic city centre. Finally, the Church of the Holy Trinity offers a more intimate atmosphere.
