Neri Marcorè, together with the director and playwright Giorgio Gallione, has been very fond of Gaberian materials. This return (the first experience dates back to 2007) is an ethical and artistic necessity together, and an even more mature and conscious opportunity to embrace the work of the "man with two capital Gs".
Gaber - My World Hurts is an exploration into the creative, narrative, ethical and literary universe of two great authors of theatre and song. For years Giorgio Gaber and Sandro Luporini have radiographed with acuteness, ruthlessness and irony, but also with great emotional participation, the mutations of our society and of the individuals who inhabit it. A great storyteller and total artist, Gaber has thus accompanied us, between private and political, on the limping and uncertain path towards a society that tries to fight against the dictatorship of imbecility, conformism and perennial self-absolution.
The show wants to return to the roots of the inspiration of these works in music, entering metaphorically, and after years, in the studio/ laboratory/ think-tank where Gaber and Luporini have acted and produced thought for more than fortyyears.
