A simple walk that crosses the historic center of Trento and climbs into the greenery of the nearby Doss Trento.
A brief and quick urban trek that gradually reveals the different faces of Trento: starting from the historical-artistic profile, which characterizes the Castello del Buonconsiglio and the adjoining alleys leading to the historic center, to the more naturalistic character that opens up leaving the purely urban area and crossing the Adige River via the Ponte di San Lorenzo, thus reaching the Doss Trento, a place much loved for its dense vegetation that offers refreshment on hot summer days and the peaceful atmosphere it offers in every season of the year.
A highly recommended visit is to the Castello del Buonconsiglio, either before departure or later, as the frescoes, rooms, and exhibitions inside are unique in their kind and preserve the memory and physical testimony of the Council of Trent. This beauty not only reflects the era of the Prince-Bishops but also extends to the more recent history of Italian irredentism, which arose during the Great War, whose main representative was the Trentino Cesare Battisti, honored with a Mausoleum located on the summit of Doss Trento, which also deserves exploration.
