Wolf Waterfall and Segonzano Pyramids along the Val Regnana

Trekking · Intermediate / 10.52 km · 4:00 h · 496 m

Quite a long itinerary that guarantees a day of healthy walking, with naturalistic points of interest, long crossings in the woods on ancient mule tracks located in charming villages scattered along the route.

The beauty of this itinerary lies especially in the charm of the two points of interest located along the route: the majestic Wolf Waterfall with a drop of over 30 meters and the site of the Segonzano Pyramids, which includes a geological phenomenon dating back to glacier thawing. Furthermore, relaxing paths and mule tracks connect ancient villages, such as the silent village of Quaras, and the hamlets of Varda, Marteri, and Piazze, making this itinerary ideal for those who want to enjoy slow tourism and savor the nature and tradition of these places. Much of the return route follows the famous European Path E5, undertaken every year by thousands of walkers eager to retrace this historic connection route, starting mostly from Germany and ending in Venice. Despite its modest length, thanks to the moderate elevation gain, the passability of the trails, and the natural points of interest, the route remains suitable for all walkers, including families with children.

WARNING the route is currently closed due to works along the SP102 access road (closure by provincial ordinance until the end of March 2024).
