1] Morning visit to the Civic Gallery and Archaeological Sites

The morning is dedicated to culture, starting with the Civic Gallery of Trento, an exhibition space hosting modern and contemporary art exhibitions that explore Trentino’s artistic scene and beyond.

Continue your journey into the past with a visit to the SASS – Underground Archaeological Space of Sas, where you can admire the remains of ancient Roman Tridentum and discover what everyday life was like for its inhabitants. The visit continues at the Orpheus Roman Villa, renowned for its exquisite mosaics, including the famous Orpheus mosaic.

2] Lunch in the Historic City Centre

Lunch in Trento’s historic city centre is an experience that combines flavour and atmosphere. Among Renaissance squares and elegant alleyways, you can savour traditional dishes and local specialities such as canederli, strangolapreti and speck, reflecting a cuisine that blends Alpine traditions with Central European influences.

3] Afternoon hike to Doss Trento and visit to Piedicastello and the Le Gallerie Museum

The afternoon begins with a pleasant hike up Doss Trento, a short climb surrounded by greenery offering beautiful views over the city and the Adige Valley. At the top, you can discover more about local and national history by visiting the Monument to Cesare Battisti and the National Historical Museum of the Alpini.

Then head down towards Piedicastello, a historic neighbourhood that has been redeveloped along the river. Here, visit Le Gallerie in Trento, an exhibition centre housed in former road tunnels, featuring multimedia exhibitions and immersive experiences dedicated to the history and culture of the region.

4] Aperitivo/Dinner in the City Centre and climb to the Civic Tower

The evening unfolds in the heart of Trento’s historic city centre, among lively squares and welcoming venues where you can relax with an aperitivo or enjoy a dinner featuring traditional Trentino dishes and local wines.

After dinner, climb the Civic Tower, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. From the top, enjoy spectacular views of Trento illuminated at night, with the Cathedral and surrounding mountains providing a stunning backdrop to an unforgettable end to the day.
