There’s no better way of getting to know Trento than by gazing down at it from above, for example, from the terrace of the Rifugio Bindesi Pino Prati, built by the SAT (Association of Trentino Mountaineers) at 600 metres on the hills to the east of Trento above Villazzano. People come here to enjoy the local food as well as the spectacular views over the Adige Valley, and to keep fit, too, for near the refuge are the famous rock faces where the pioneers of Trentino mountaineering trained and which are still frequented by young climbers today. Open All year round Closed in November Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut Walks From the Rifugio Bindesi Pino Prati you can walk to the Rifugio Maranza in 1 ½ hours along a path with a vertical descent of nearly 500 metres. From there, if you want, you can walk to the top of the Marzola.
