Loop route on the trails surrounding Monte Calisio, for immersion in nature and history.
The trail starts from the former Campel refuge and climbs through the woods along the slope of Monte Calisio. A shaded trek where you find hidden remains of mining, a lime kiln, and Austro-Hungarian fortifications from the Great War, including the Casara fort. From the plateau at the top of Calisio, the view spans the Valsugana and Adige Valley.
There are no refreshment points or fountains at the summit, so bring drinks and food with you.
