Route that winds through the various villages of the Municipality of Baselga di Piné, interesting from both a cultural and naturalistic point of view.
A particularly interesting route from both a cultural and naturalistic point of view: ancient villages, churches, historic fountains, protected natural areas, and much more to discover. Among the first points of interest encountered is the panoramic Dosso of Miola, with a privileged view of Lake Serraia and its hamlets. For the less trained, the route can end by continuing towards the Ice Stadium of Miola, or continue towards the hamlets of Tressilla, San Mauro, and Montagnaga, where the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Piné and the Laghestel Nature Reserve are located. In the final part of the route, other amenities can be discovered. From Montagnaga, climb towards the hamlet of Grill, where not far from the route you can visit the ruins of Castel de la Mot, also called Belvedere Castle for the suggestive view of Lake Caldonazzo. Further on, you will encounter the hamlets of Prada and Faida, where there is an 18th-century water mill, also visitable upon request. Also not to be overlooked are the small villages at the end of the route, Cané and Fiore, villages immersed in greenery and scented with ancient history.
WARNING: follow the gpx track and the indications on this page; path signage is in the process of being installed
The route can be shortened to the tour in the northeastern part of the plateau passing through Lake Serraia, Sternigo, Ricaldo and returning from Baselga to the Ice Stadium, or in the southwestern part starting from Baselga towards Tressilla San Mauro, Montagnaga and returning following the original route. It can also be done in both directions without any difficulty. Strongly recommended are the unmarked detours on the track for Castel de la Mot near the hamlet of Grill and the Rio Negro Waterfalls in the hamlet of Erla.
Steep sections: detour to the meadow of Comparsa and Monument to the Redeemer and descent via the "Rosta", an ancient cobbled mule track connecting Baselga cemetery to Tressilla. Also beware of the section that descends from Fiore again towards Miola, as it is rough in some points.
